More plugging in
Who: Octane and adult Cybertronians
What: Grand opening for Octane and Airachnid's new bar
When: March
Where: Lower decks, around the labs
Octane is on his own this month, which means he can decorate his bar to his own tastes. He chooses STARS as the new theme.
The display boards, one for HOTTEST PIC OF THE MONTH and the other for rules and attractions, are still in their usual places, but have been spruced up for this month.
The bartender's counter is pretty glitzed up.
The cabaret stage is there, with some added "starry" attractions.
The fighting ring has also been given a "starry" makeover.
The game machines are business as usual.
The back room sign is a pentacle-shaped cutout.

ATTRACTIONS
There is an old story that two Titans were very dear to each other, but were dispatched to distant stars at the opposite ends of the sky. They wanted badly to meet again, so they prayed to Primus, and one of the Primes (Octane can't remember which) built a great space bridge to pull the stars together once each year. And then the Titans could meet and make kissy-faces at each other. It was pretty romantic, and that's exactly why Octane uses it as inspiration for this month's theme.
The customer review board features something extra this month.
HOTTEST PIC OF THE MONTH
Octane has no idea who this guy is, but he likes the look.

Cabaret Stage: GLAMOR PHOTOS, CONFESSION BOOTH, AND COMPETITIVE MAKE-OUTS
The dancing drone has been stripped of its Soundwave guise. It now operates a camera at one end of the stage. Next to it are a seat, a backdrop, spotlights, and a box of props. Guests are encouraged to dress up and have their pictures taken.
GLAM PHOTO-OP: YOU'LL BE A STAR
...The sign promises. Under the header is fine text explaining the best photo, as voted on by other guests, will be next month's hottest pic of the month.
At the other end of the stage there is a table and two chairs with built-in leg restraints. A timer and scoreboard are on the table. This is the OMPETITIVE MAKE-OUTS table, where guests can battle against each other with their mouths and faceplates, in the style of a good old thumb war or arm wrestling match.
In the center of the stage, there is a double-ended CONFESSIONS BOOTH. A guest can enter at either end into the sealed compartment. A wall stands between the two halves of the booth, ensuring the occupants on either side can't see each other. Once both sides are occupied, the doors automatically close and lock, and for five minutes, the two occupants can say whatever they want to each other under the shield of anonymity. The microphones in the booth are equipped with voice changers, so there's no danger of exposure, unless the guests catch sight of each other entering or exiting the booth.
old mech yells at cloud here
(He's trying to claim the bar as his territory. Shhh.)
He's been wandering around, casting disapproving glances at just about everything, though he's looking particularly testy while pinching a prop between his fingers. He can't tell what it is, even as he squints at it up close. Eventually, he scowls and tosses it aside, not caring where it lands.
"These imbeciles," he grumbles angrily to himself, picking up another prop. "None of this is remotely intimidating..."
Oops! There goes another prop thrown haphazardly. Watch out! It's pointy!

As long as Megatron isn't being too destructive, the Decepticon leader rage as much as he likes. In the best case scenario, he'll just get bored and leave, and then Octane can run things like normal.

Bartender's Counter
Above the shelf, a little below the ceiling, there is a flat screen broadcasting some sort of baking show. Though the video is grainy, clearly being a secondhand recording, some close-up shots might still feature recognizable faces.
The bartender is a friendly guy, or would be if he wasn't so shady. He keeps casting lustful glances toward the competitive make-outs table, so it'll be a good idea to speak louder to catch his attention.
this is for octane but anyone can tag if you want her
She likes the routine. It's a nice excuse to get away from Megatron, as well as keep an optic on him when he comes in. If she keeps him happy with good drinks, he won't hurt her or Nova Storm or go after Soundwave again.
Deep down, she know he will do that anyway, but keeping him in here for a few hours is a few hours less worry.
She also likes the company. Skywarp isn't wildly close with Octane, but he's a fellow Decepticon and predictable in a safe way, so she doesn't mind it.
Most of all, she likes Airachnid.
Who threw a keyring at her then left.
Skywarp clocks into work and finds the bar too empty, even if there are people in it.
She busies herself sullenly cleaning the same spot on the counter. She knows Airachnid won't be gone long, because she knows Airachnid fears Arcee showing up and missing her. She could go and find the spiderbot herself. She could do any number of things, but she opts just to go back to work and clean.

"Thanks."
He keeps it unsaid, but having her around makes him feel much more secure. He's not much of a fighter, so without Airachnid, the bar feels unsafe. He knows, rationally, that there is nothing onboard that would threaten his bar (aside from nosy security people, but he's sure all the guests are happy to uphold the unofficial law of silence). Yet there's a strange prickling in his cranial casing that something will come up. Something always comes up when one lets down their guard.
Maybe Mikaela actually will decide that her rival is getting too big for his scaffolding and call a hit on him.
He sets a vial down on the spot Skywarp has just cleaned.
"Wages."
He fingers another vial before tossing it back into his subspace. Airachnid isn't here, but he'll still set aside her cut of the earnings this month. He's a fair businessman, after all.

Ugh.
Feelings.
"Thanks."
It disappears into her subspace, and she sighs, slumping forward. "This is so dumb! I can't believe it doesn't feel right without some awful spider idiot shrieking at me every five seconds!"
no subject
"Yeah. Just not the same without Airy-cakes around."
He makes special note of how listless she appears. Unlike him, Skywarp is actually a warrior, so he knows that she craves more than powerful partner to watch her back.
His smile stretches into a lewd leer.
"You like working with her, don't you? The back rooms are free for employees. Just make sure to reserve beforehand."
no subject
Fortunately, this instance is one that Megatron has not followed her into the bar. Skywarp still has his drink ready and chilling, just in case. She has Airachnid's ready too. Just in case.
"Ugh!" His comment has her looking up, half-heartedly flipping her hand into her buzzsaw and swinging it at him. There is clearly no intent to harm, as it misses Octane completely. "Not like that! It's just-- nostalgic, okay?! Having a terrible boss that shrieks at you!"

"What happened to you!"

"I went out to that auction. You won't imagine how much worse my day got."
no subject
"The- oh, oh man. Yeah, that sounded like a wreck of a trip, at least from what I heard of the debriefs."
He props his chin in a palm as he looks down at his little (heehee) buddy. Okay, so maybe he's kind of tickled by this reverse. "Did you get sucked into that baking show deal? We saw it being broadcasted live."
no subject
And then..." He sighs. :once again, as things seemed to be coming to an end, dark energon showed up. So we were transported away to an ocean where we were being chased by God Eaters. And I was small again."
He looks up at Cayde. "So that was my evening."

Re: tiny krok
For some reason, he entertains the possibility that this room might be haunted. At least, until he finally catches sight of the tiny being on bar counter.
"Woah! Who are --"
His optics focus in on the "doll", which is smaller than even a human.
"...Krok? How did you shrink?"
no subject
"They undid everything else except this, and I'm not going back into the Cathedral of Mirrors and hope I get the hit with the opposite spell."
no subject
Octane bends down to hear him better.
"So uh...is the spell gonna wear off? Or are you just stuck like this forever."
