It may not feel like it, but there's more serendipity in life than you'd expect. Example: after a particularly long stint in space, the R2's engines overheat and some of the circuitry burns out. That sucks, right? They'll need to land somewhere and let everything cool down before performing extensive repairs, an undertaking that will probably take upwards of a month. That's where serendipity comes in: the closest planet is minimally inhabited. This is a small system that is generally quiet and at most used for stop overs, exactly like the one the R2 is in need of.

After a brief announcement from Sparkarrow, the ship lands with a slight shudder and then goes quiet as the engines are deactivated to begin the lengthy repair process.

There's no extremely exciting theme this month, as it mainly just seems like Mikaela has sourced some plants from the Hydroponics Lab. They were donated, so be kind to them! Each table has a cute little pot sitting at it and the bar is kept bright and cheerful, like a lovely sunny day.

If you're an extremely rare brand of unlucky, one of the drinks will seem to make flower petals appear in your mouth. Just enough that they don't cause too much trouble, but maybe it means something...?

Monthly drinks include: Everything's Coming Up Rosé (a brightly coloured drink that's floral and sweet and puts you in a good mood no matter what thanks to the gentle fizz), Brushbuddy Special (a drink with a cute little marshmallow with edible googly eyes floating in it), Time Stopper (a very strong blue drink with some syrupy yellow concoction floating on top and some edible glitter mixed in to make it shiny), Birds and Bees (a honey drink cut with chamomile tea and lavender with a slice of a fruit that looks like lemon; when squeezed into the drink it goes from yellow to purple) and a selection of Blooming Teas (served in a glass tea pot, the dried flower bulb slowly opens when submerged).

As always, every drink is available in organic, Terran/Robot Master-friendly and non-alcoholic.

Rung

Rung is not feeling well lately; it could be robocold, it could be over worked hours, it could be overstimulation. Either way Rung is leaning over the observatory table partially asleep. It's uncertain how long he's been like that and its less certain if he's just... napping or in need of assistance.

He has however drooled on the table. What an embarrassment that will be.

Flash part 1

It's not hard to find Flash these days with his camera taking photos of various sights of the ship. As of the last week he's gotten into the habit even of spamming his Time Stopper as he does.

Flash part 2

Today he can be found in a dark room trying to carefully develop his film. Shame when the door opens it over exposes his work.

Snake

Snake is delightedly hanging with the plants this evening, in fact... He's found something of great intrigue to him. He's climbed up into a bush and is eating the berries that have grown in the inward garden.

It's probably not good for him but he can't help himself. It's new, surprising, sweet n sour, and not to mention he looks like a crime scene.... Someone should probably stop him. When did a berry bush get in here anyway!?

Shade

It's odd to find Shade in the training halls. In fact one might never seen him in there before, as the subtle arrogance of the Vampire Bot view's of his skills range so high (and he refuses to let himself be easily caught in training). One might be curious to see what such abilities he hides seeing as he's never been in a fight on board, nor shown off his techniques either.

Though he seems quite focused on sharpening his talons, and removing his gloves to allow sharp needle like nails to click clack together...

Life had finally, mercifully, calmed down. They were all back at the Atelier and things had started to feel normal again. Qifrey had got dressed, pulling his smoke colored cloak over his shoulders the same as he always did, calling over to his four apprentices that he was going to check on their vegetable garden before the snowfall started. Brushbuddy came charging over from wherever it had been curled up, jumping onto the back of his cloak. "Oh? You want to help?" He chuckled to himself as the fluffy creature climbed up his cloak and onto his shoulders. Qifrey opened the door, expecting to step into the crisp morning air. Instead he all but tripped through the Space Bridge into the R2.

[Action]
A while later, Qifrey found himself in the observation room, staring out into the inky blackness of space. While the Vehicon that he spoken with was exceptionally polite for what he had at first assumed was a golem made of metal trying to kill him, and taken the time to explain everything as best as they could, it was still a lot to take in. Especially for someone who came from a universe where cars and phones were a foreign concept. Being told he'd be teleported into space, but with science, rather than magic... And the ship was home to a number of giant metal beings called Cybertronians... It was too outlandish to even be a dream.

He brought a hand up to his shoulder, running his hand over the fuzzy white fur of Brushbuddy. "I'm sorry you got dragged along as well, my little friend," He told it softly, "But I am glad to have some familiar company." Brushbuddy leaned into his hand, making a high pitched purring noise.

Among the many worries that were swirling around his mind - how to get back, was this really the work of the Brimmed Caps, would the girls and Olruggio be alright without him - chief among them was would his magic even work here. He hadn't wanted to interrupt the Vehicon who had tried to be so helpful, but it weighed heavily on his mind. Qifrey glanced around, double checking that no one was around, before carefully bringing his feet together until the soles of his shoes were touching. He let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding when there was the familiar sensation of the magic glyph on the bottom of his shoes activating, and he started floating into the air. His robe and cloak flapped as if there was a breeze on the ship until he was about the height the Vehicon had been. "At least we've still got magic, hm?" Once Qifrey was sure that the Brushbuddy had a good grip on his cloak, he moved his hand to touch the window. At least with magic, there was still hope.

Glasses sat perched on his nose, though the lense that was on the side of his face covered by his hair was pitch black. He fiddles with the communication device a bit more, making it zoom out just a bit from just a close up of his face.]

Ah I see it now, thank you for your assistance - Shutterstock was it? Much appreciated.

[Qifrey gives the Vehicon with a cool hat a nod of thanks, before Shutterstock wandered off. The man who looked like he had walked out of a renaissance festival, what with his smoke colored cloak and cap, loose white robe, and fitted black undershirt, turned his attention back to the camera.]

I was told I could speak with the rest of the ship with this contraption. I'm afraid everything on the R2 is quite different than what I am accustomed to... If anyone has some free time, I would be much obliged if someone could show me how the various contraptions here work.

[There's some squeaking noises behind him, and he points his communicator at the source. It almost looks like a long worm with fluffy white fur, but one of its tiny feet was aggressively patting a stove top. The Brushbuddy is trying its best to help.]

I was told this area in particular was for cooking, but it felt rather unwise to start pressing buttons on this device when it could produce fire.

[Qifrey turned his attention back to the communicator, giving an awkward smile.]

Oh, where are my manners. My name is Qifrey. Our Vehicon hosts have been very kind, but I would hate to continue to trouble them with all my questions. If you are available to help, please let me know.

[It took a few moments of staring at the communicator again, but finally with a small 'ah' he found the button to turn off the video.]

Following a report from Ratchet during the recent debrief of off-ship encounters, a security sweep was initiated in response to new intel that Lady Aura Frouda, a high-profile insectkin noble and newly revealed parasite lord, has had access to information about the inner workings of the R2, including private details of crew and personnel. Aura Frouda and her allies pose a significant threat to the ship, crew, and related cybertronian outposts. Thus far, three areas of the ship have been identified as compromised. Insectkin spyware is organic in nature, small in size, and able to infiltrate areas difficult to access without the dismantling of ship infrastructure. This makes the process of hunting down and destroying individual units complex and inefficient, and there is a significant risk that they would be able to relocate to other parts of the ship before they can be removed. The scan also revealed microscopic traces of Warden fungi, another known threat to the ship. The most thorough method of ensuring the ship is free of such spyware and to eliminate the threat is to destroy all units simultaneously. A purge protocol of all organic matter aboard the ship is the recommended solution for ensuring this severe security risk is rectified. Any organic crew members or companion creatures will be requested to exit the ship during this process. Any crew who leave the ship during the purge will be required to undergo bio-scans and decontamination procedures before they may access the ship in order to prevent the reintroduction of foreign contaminants and spyware. The logistical details are being finalized in order to minimize impact to ship functions and the time required to complete the procedure. More details will be forthcoming.

Recently, Mikaela has arbitrarily decided to create a brand for the ship only, just for fun, so all food and some drinks come available in a Maccadam's takeaway box or cup, something she designed with Mikey. It's a fun bit of home for them, isn't it? The design includes Maccadam himself giving a goofy double thumbs up with a Macca-damn that's good! tagline. You might want to try the new Big Mac burger, too. It comes with as many stacks as you want.

Otherwise, the décor is as normal, with few notable changes. There's some cakes out on the counter that Mikaela and a couple of the vehicons baked themselves, with the gimmick of if you get really unlucky you'll bite into one and discover it's a frosting covered sponge.

Then... it seems like random things around the bar have been replaced with a whole cake version of themselves. Booths? Yep. Tables? Somehow! Glasses? You betcha.

Don't think too hard about how she did this. Or how it all looks so real until you touch it and discover very suddenly that it isn't.

Monthly drinks include: Mystery Drink 1 (unidentifiable ingredients, turns you into the Shiny version of yourself (think shiny Pokemon)), Mystery Drink 2 (unidentifiable ingredients, makes you feel the opposite of whatever you're feeling of a random sense, or all of them if you're unlucky) Mystery Drink 3 (unidentifiable ingredients, makes your voice either really high pitched or really low pitched), Mystery Drink 4 (unidentifiable ingredients, makes you fully invisible for a while), Mystery Drink 5 (unidentifiable ingredients, there is glitter. Everywhere. No matter what you do for for the next 4 hours, there is glitter), Mystery Drink 6 (just water (sometimes with food colouring), but surely it does something like all the others...), and Clown Sauce (tastes... funny. You think your insides might be neon now. Is that normal? It's inconsistent. Checking your mouth in a mirror will reveal the answer.)

In addition to all this, there are some new drinks in the vending machines. Those familiar with it might recognise Kisi Cherry Zero as one of the options.

As always, every drink is available in organic, Terran/Robot Master-friendly and non-alcoholic.

A bright new room has been acquired; lit with warm lights and warmer colours painted to the walls. With papers lined up said walls of various rules and a schedule of conduct. A room of free roamed learning with various hours dedicated to specifics like math, reading, sciences.

Rung looks so proud as tries to peel off the extra layer of nontoxic paint from his orange hues.

"I'm pleased to announce the School Room is open, its not unlike the Edutainment center but that room will be centered round for play and oh what was it called... Recess!"

A rock on his heels before leaning all the way down to open a smaller door for the smaller students. "I even got this installed. It's big enough door for the minicons and other small ones." Rung says gleefully.

"And I remembered reading Lunch is an important addition to any school curriculum and made a snack table as well."

It seems perhaps, in his over thinking he's missed some key ideas on what a school is. Though one can't fault him for wanted certain things taught to the younger crew.

Such as emotional regulations, and virus safety.... which sure would of been better for a therapy group maybe... He's just happy to finally gotten this trial set up and ready.

A Simple Errand

The Wonder Ring Mall... Multiple stories, hundreds of shops, tons of things to see and do... And the group that's arrived has one single simple little errand to do. Lancet wants their datapad back. They left it behind in their locker when they quit, but it contains a lot of memories and pictures they would rather not loose forever.

All the group needs to do is find a way into the Employees Only area, pick it up, and head out non the wiser. Heck they'll probably still have time to hit the foodcourt after!

Elec drops Rock, Rumi, and Riptide off at the main entrance.

"Be careful you guys. I know you're gonna be sneaking around..." he frowns and then gestures towards Blues in the shuttle's copilot seat, "If you get into trouble just call me or Blues, we'll be around I'm sure we can figure out some way to help you guys out."

A few more words are exchanged and the two groups part. Elec and Blues to park the Shuttle and Rock, Rumi, and Riptide enter the mall.

Here at the main entrance there's someone in the Ringsie mascot costume, waving and handing out balloons to children. Even with the big mask on they clearly seem a little stressed and also... not as enthusiastic as Lancet was in the position! They're not nearly animated enough! A little ways behind them is the Information Booth. It's staffed by a VERY bored looking green viperkin teen who looks more interested in checking her phone then whatever the person at the counter seems to be demanding. The person being the LARGEST bovinekin you can imagine with shoulders that would make any linebacker weep with inadequacy.

The Mall is now yours. Where to first?

An annual celebration that occurs on the planet Mirzam, the Prism Festival is considered a must-see event, aligning with dramatic atmospheric auroras unlike anything in the system. There are celebrations in all major cities, many of which are the highlight of the year, bringing in entertainment and celebrities from across the stars.

The R2 is once more hailed by the Mirzam Planetary Events Committee with a business proposal: to renew the entertainment contract from previous years. The committee is willing to turn a blind eye to the cybertronian crew, so long as the R2 continues to provide top-notch entertainment. There’s also news that there may be some special events this year!
